The Great Whale

I have no need for this reality,

  where I desperately swell

         in all the off hours,

 and lose myself, elsewhere.

Far away, slipping in all the current,

I meld into the bodies of water,

The whales guiding me long home.

The stars mapping my journey, under a shining midnight sky.

The song summoning.

  The underworld, reverent.

A colliding of pressures and vast distances,

 Blues and currents,

Shaping the journey;

  The need for food.

Offspring and food.

Cosmic within the eye,

an ancient and deep wisdom within-

She is a whale in eternity.

 A cosmic party,

of a mortal existence.

An eye gazing long into you, mere seconds.

She is something to witness, and behold,

 and humble you,

Of her epics, her thresh hold.

Bodied in the swell of existence,

  no barrier or hesitation

to protect

that which swims along beside her.

She is a mother of love. A womb of the divine.

Studded by the starlit nights

Tailed and trailed by dolphins,

and just the very few of her kind.

The Vast

          Cosmic

                Ocean.

We thread our paths,

  through the night..

Blues, and hues of sight...

And to behold her...

  an eternal love

Winds and rewinds

In the blink of an eye.
