A Heart's Malady

Rains in my heart;

The swells leaking through expanded window sills

Reprieve, cold

   and the Maldigest of sorrow,

Another sort of disease.

   A pain and malady

       Unattended to.

The longing I have can be met by no

   Other,

  Other than you.

Invisible Love,

   ripped out of me,

  My fiery heart,

     Bleeding and streaming

        Through your fingers bare.

Taken with you into another life.

  Left hollow here,

     To serve the others.

Left null of reciprocity.

Void,

In the echos of our lingering impressions,

      Waking from dreams

Where we must leave one another again.

      Waking without you.

Waking to this life, the other side,

            Instead.

 Maybe one day,

  this will all just be

A bad dream, we can wake from.
