The Starseed

Seed of the Star,

  Oh there you are-

     Wrapped up in time,

        and so safe and sound.

Spark, so mighty,

   A tiny frame,

 Spitting out God,

   In Cosmic Ray.

There you dwell,

  Blanketed so...

In the swell and void of the deep.

  Doesn't it beseech you,

    To fear at all,

  The tininess you muster

     Against it all,

  Doesn't it make you weep?

Can you,

   Mighty Dawn,

Fathom at all,

The Creator from which you broke?

Can you see beyond

   The brilliantness

      Of your own

          Blinding scope?

Had I known,

  I might have plucked you,

Right from the sky you lay.

Had I achieved a glimpse of mere hope,

I might have let you guide the way.

As it sits though,

  I think I found,

Something much more tangible to me.

For the longer I stared,

  The more within I went,

And 'tis true,

   I too,

Am Seed.

The spark had mustered,

   Then sputtered so,

But like an engine it did start and roar...

I hadn't quite known,

  A clap so loud,

 Til I lay,

   An earthly star

     On shore.
