As He Moves On

Sir,

Won't you

Take her out?

The one that has been seeking you.

Look at that elated pair of batting eyes,

And charm her ruthlessly until she blushes,

But only after you have made her laugh unabashedly,

A smile leaking out of you as well.

Use your beguile, so that you know it is not lost!

Look at her, with fresh eyes.

Take note of the detail of her hair and make-up,

  How it's done this night,

For you Sir. A date of Delicacy.

Give yourself permission to take her to the beach under the stars, and look upon the stars against the backdrop of a not so distant city sky. She may not be the one you wanted

Let her dote on you, anyway.

Feel the hope of love once more, even if just in the gracious moment

  Of being present,

In the authencity of just sitting together,

  Somewhere far and still,

And making her squirm slightly

  With nervous apprehension.

You have it all Sir.

Let yourself love again, even if it is not her, in this moment, give yourself to it for moment's sake.

Feel again.

Have a hope once more as you feel the delighted air and weightless tone glide over your two bodies.

Fall into it, a night with flirtation and unknowns,

Rather than kept of a dim view, shrouded by the suns that have set.

Let yourself love again, even if it is not her, this night.

Lean in anyways... and many more nights will come.

Love potion

I needed love so badly.

And now I am wrought with sickness, my mind spinning in the intoxication of constant poison,

My stomach ill and appetite repressed

My sleep drowned by the fights and inability to appease,

My thoughts hampered by the pills I take to ease his words.

This is just the beginning, as my body rejects the potion you have fed me daily of four years.

Now I can keep nothing down.

Of Her & I

One thing we are not

   Is lucky in love
